On any domestic flight at YVR ( Vancouver's airport), one display case is home to two of my paintings, presently located near Gate C40. Enjoy some art before departure!
They're small and mighty. I created a series of smaller pieces on wood panels with bears as my muse. It allows me to quickly study my subject, and inject new ideas. Next up, bigger paintings that will challenge me in another way. Enjoy!
Abstract vs Realism
"Abstract/Realism" explores the right-handed/left-side debate by having 13 artists compose two pieces of work - one realism, the other on abstraction. Will artists who typically work in realism have trouble creating an abstract piece and vice-versa?

Happy Canada Day!
Gallery 8 on Salt Spring Island hosts my flag paintings.
The 8th annual Mid Main Art Fair was a wonderfully successful art event. Myself and Elisabeth Sommerville were it's coordinators for this years event. Quality art at a Vancouver historic venue.
Gallery 8 is a beautiful art space situated on one of BC's Gulf Islands.
A Honorable Mention for On Thin Ice from the Federation of Canadian Artists.
Ringing in the new year with a energetic abstract, titled Impulse.
An entire wall of bear paintings, engaged visitors during the East Side Culture Crawl. Conversations flowed freely from a gentleman who once lived in Churchill, Manitoba in the 1950's to those who use to live in northern Canada. Besides being great conversation starters, the bear paintings may hopefully raise awareness for the plight of our bears. Whichever, these creatures are beckoning me to paint them.
This is, Hey, Good Looking.
I am fortunate to have several of my paintings the beautiful Gallery 88 in Kerrisdale. You'll spy several of them in their front window.
