They're small and mighty. I created a series of smaller pieces on wood panels with bears as my muse. It allows me to quickly study my subject, and inject new ideas. Next up, bigger paintings that will challenge me in another way. Enjoy!

An entire wall of bear paintings, engaged visitors during the East Side Culture Crawl. Conversations flowed freely from a gentleman who once lived in Churchill, Manitoba in the 1950's to those who use to live in northern Canada. Besides being great conversation starters, the bear paintings may hopefully raise awareness for the plight of our bears. Whichever, these creatures are beckoning me to paint them.
